| Well I was back to my garden again over the summer. Man, it was a hot one! So calling this suite of two “Tropic like its Hot” seemed appropriate. I was once more having fun using some of the paper “leftovers” from past pieces, as well as adding the new cool shapes of the lovely Monstera leaf. Continuing a similar palette to the one I was using at the beginning of this year, I realized I was not done with these beautiful colors yet! |

| I’ve been wanting to create some pieces for a while only in shades of Blue and I’ve finally started! There is a much softer turquoise blue background you can barely see that sets off the more saturated Blues of the leaves nicely. These remind me a little bit of the French and Chinese porcelain pieces They are delicate and playful, but have the strength and contrast the rich Cobalt and Sapphire Blues provide. After using so many different colors on pieces over the years, the simplicity of using “50 Shades of Blue” was wonderfully easy on the eyes! |
