Description

I did a series of girls on the beach and this was one of my favorites of the set, along with Beauty and the Beach. These have a different feel than my other pieces because they were done on paper with gouache, which has a watercolor feel but it’s opaque. It’s also a simple composition with a girl by herself on the beach becoming one with the water. I like the intimacy it suggests she’s having with the ocean, as she enjoys her own company along the shallow shore.
